About Me

IMG_5845Hello and thank you for visiting my blog!

My name is Sebastian. I am the founding minister of Faith1st Ministries and the author of the life-changing book: Operating in the God-Kind of Faith.

My wife and I reside in Atlanta, Georgia and are the parents of six young adults. We enjoy helping people in their discovery of God’s will for their lives, their walk of faith, and finding solutions to the struggles of life, especially in the area of marriage and healing.

As a Christian, I have a passionate love for God, our Lord Jesus, and the Word of God. This love has been translated into serving God in the ministry of the Gospel for over 30 years. Serving in the ministry in various capacities has taught me how much God loves His people and how much He expects us to love one another. I believe and try to exemplify the fact that God has given to us the “ministry of reconciliation;” and has “committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” (2 Corinthians 5:18-19)

As a minister and pastor, I have a passion for preaching and teaching the truth of the Word of God to help people come to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus and to help Believers find their God-given place in the Body of Christ. I believe every Believer has a gift or calling that is needed to serve in the Body and assist in bringing souls into the Kingdom of God.

I do not consider myself to be an authority of scripture. However, I do stand on the authority of scripture!

  • I believe that the Bible is scripture and thereby, it is God’s Holy Word;
  • I believe that Jesus is the embodiment of that Word;
  • I believe that the Word is the living, revelation of God and His Will to man; and
  • I believe that we are to live by faith in that Word as it is revealed to us!

Therefore, my purpose in writing this blog is to (1) raise the faith consciousness of the global family of Believers, and (2) assist me in fulfilling my own call to reach, teach, and train men and women everywhere to love and serve God also—with their whole heart—because He loves us so much! May God’s best be yours!

Your servant in Him,

Sebastian

    Greetings and prayers from Pakistan.

    Dear Pastor Sebastian,

    I am Zeeshan Javed from Pakistan. I am living in a small village Todey Wala I am a Bible student.

    I do not study in any Bible college, or School or church. The only resource of reading the Bible teachings is internet. I study different websites and get fed by the Word of God.
    In my village we have more then 200 Christian families and we do not have any one to teach us and preach the Word of God. Nor there is any Church building to get together for prayer. I wish you to guide us and give us your teachings to teach and preach here. Can you please guide me how can I get the people of my village to prayers and Word of God.

    I will wait for your response.

    With lots of prayers for you and your ministry.

    Zeeshan Javed.

  12. HI Sebastian, thanks for following my blog http://gottafindahome.wordpress.com. I believe that we share the same mission. “Serving in the ministry in various capacities has taught me how much God loves His people and how much He expects us to love one another.” Loving one another is the way to world peace and breaking down barriers of borders, prejudice, and misunderstanding. To love one another we must start by talking and listening, with our hearts, to one another. ~ Dennis

  18. Hey Pastor Sebastian hope all is well and blessed with you. Got a quick question I have been trying to find the answer to. Is the Lazarus from John 11 the same as the Lazarus from Luke 16?

    Thank you Pastor!

    • Sebastian says:

      Hello Kaaina…good to hear from you! Yes all is well with me and I pray the same for you! To answer your question: The two Lazarus’ are different people. In Luke, Jesus is telling a story of a person named Lazarus; whereas in John, the story is being told about His “friend” Lazarus…whom He had a close relationship with both he and his sisters.

      I have heard it said they were the same person but I have yet to see anything to support that. The only similarity of the two stories are they were both named Lazarus.

      Hope this helps!

        They feel they can cope with a good man; they might even manage to be as good as he was! This gives them a false sense of opsmiitm that the Bible does not warrant. They cannot cope with God becoming flesh and dwelling amongst us, suffering and dying in our place. This does not square with their idea of what God should be like. He ought to be far removed from us entirely other.This is where the Bible explains that both can be true at the same time. Philippians 2:6-7 shows that the Son of God laid aside His majesty with the Father in heaven, in order to become a suffering servant who would take on a human nature. Those who are confused by this interpret that passage to mean the opposite! They say Jesus did not try to grasp at deity!Only the Christian Trinity doctrine faces up squarely to all the difficulties of this concept, that Jesus is both God and man, yet God the Father did not die on the cross. A main point is that only God could pay for the sins of the whole world. A human, no matter if perfect, could only substitute like for like his death could only stand in the stead of one sinner. By realising that it was God in Christ paying our penalty for our sin, we are humbled into admitting that salvation is entirely of God. We can do nothing to earn His forgiveness. Only by trusting utterly in what Jesus did can we be forgiven.

      that Jesus is God, and the Bible says that Jesus is also the Son of God, as follows:In John 20:28, Thomas cleald Jesus, My Lord and my God! and John chapter 1 identifies Jesus as the Word who became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14) and declares that, the Word was God (John 1:1).In John 8:58, Jesus cleald Himself, I AM , the name God cleald Himself in the Old Testament: Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ (Exodus 3:13-14).In Luke 17:18, the Samaritan man returned to Jesus to give glory to God after being healed by Jesus, and Luke 8:38-39 clearly equates the great things God has done for you with the great things Jesus had done for him .Biblical evidences of Jesus also being the Son of God are throughout the New Testament.

    Wonderful to hear from you, my brother. Let’s keep in touch. I appreciate your commenting on Scriptuestudent. I’ve been up to my ears trying to market one book and complete a couple others, so I haven’t posted regularly lately. If you have time, I’d love to have you visit my website, which is the name of my first book: http://www.Godscomebackkids.com. Love to hear any suggestions or critiques you might offer. Stay close to Christ. donkimrey
