In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. – Proverbs 3:6 (TLB)

In our busy lives, it is important to establish priorities. At the top of that list should be God and our relationship with him. It is good to recognize and never to forget that the Lord is the source of our lives and is due all the credit for every victory we have.

When we make our relationship with the Lord a priority in our lives, we are actually setting ourselves in a position to excel. Because to do that will keep our focus where it belongs and will keep our heart and mind in a state of reception…thereby allowing us to be open and receptive to His direction.

  1. What a beautiful writeup! He wants to be the first in our lives, and this is non-negotiable. This is what He demanded from the Disciples and each and every one of us. Jesus said “He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me” (Matthew 10:37). My MAster Jesus also commanded this, “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple” (Luke 14:26). He wants to be loved more than anything else; spouse, father, mother, daughter, son, certificates, money etc.
Lets all give Him the FIRST place!
