God is a Provider

37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes; 40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. 41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. 42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. 43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: 44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; (Psalms 105:37, 40-44)

We must never forget that God is a provider. When things sometimes seem to dry up and we are left wondering when and where will our need be met, we must continue to look up and put our trust in God. It is so easy to believe that we have to do something about this, but what we really need to do is place our faith in the reliability of an awesome Father Who absolutely cannot fail. Now, that does not mean for us to just fold our arms and wait either, but Jesus does tell us to “Have faith in God” (Mark 11:22).

The ability to dig in and hold onto our faith in God with everything we have, will produce extraordinary results in our lives. No, I am not speaking only of material goods, but I am including that as well because God is concerned about our total life. We must trust Him for every part of our lives. What has happened is, for many, not experiencing God’s goodness in any area makes us skeptical and makes us judge God over our experiences.

God is bigger than our experiences and because He is BIGGER and GREATER, He is not limited to the temporary things of this world. The mishaps and failures of our lives don’t define a God Who is the Creator of everything. So, it would behoove us to place our trust in Him on a whole different level. When we do this, we can see things on another level as well.

Are you sick? You can be healed. Broke? You can prosper. Worried? You can have peace…and so on! Nothing is too hard for The Lord! When He provides, He does it well! In Psalms 105, we see an account of God providing for His people to the point of satisfaction and He will do the same thing for us. There is no limit with God.

In other words, nothing is impossible with Him. We have to place our total trust in Him every day of our lives. Not just when we are in need but when everything is going well also. So, let us not forget that our Father is not “slack concerning His promise” toward us because He will always fulfill His Word and provide for us. Thank you Jesus!
