A Greater Love

Thank you CandleGreater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.John 15:13

It is always in order to honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice—which is their life. Regardless of the circumstance, or even, whether or not we may agree with it. Any time anyone gives their life for the life or freedom of anyone else, it deserves honor. Amen?

Jesus gave His life for you and me without our deserving it at all! He exhibited real love with His sacrifice and gave each of us an example of how we should do likewise. This example shows us how we should love, without requirement, those who need the love of God…although they may not care for Him or us.

The scripture teaches us that: “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son” (John 3:16).  His love moved Him to action—likewise should ours. It is not always the ‘ultimate sacrifice’ that is needed or expected, but sacrifice nonetheless.

Therefore, the question could be asked, what are we doing to exemplify the Love of God to a world who so desperately needs the answer only He can provide? Who are we bringing: food, clothing, shelter, healing, deliverance, etc., etc.

This day and every day from now, plan to be a living, breathing example of the Love of God to the world around us.
