“…Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”—Luke 18:8 (KJV)
Faith is something; I think is largely misunderstood among Christians. Faith, like many other subjects (i.e. love), is used by many in various ways but often without understanding its significance. Faith is the key to a victorious Christian life—this cannot be understated.
Four times the bible states that the “just shall live by faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4; Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38). The word just can be rendered righteous—thereby giving the interpretation that the righteous shall live by faith. Now please do not overlook the word live in these verses, because that little word live has great importance—especially in the believer’s life of faith.
To live is, of course, to “be alive” and “to have life” but it compasses many other things as well. The dictionary defines to live as:
1. To spend, as one’s life; to pass; to maintain; to continue in, constantly or habitually; as, to live an idle or a useful life.
2. To act habitually in conformity with; to practice. (Webster’s Revised Dictionary, 1828)
When connected with the subject of faith, this brings to live to life…so to speak. Just imagine if we spent our life maintaining or continuing constantly and habitually in faith—thereby producing a useful life. Wow! How different would our lives be if we actually lived a life of faith rather than just talked about having faith?
We serve a risen savior who rose with all power in His hands; and then gave us the same power! Do not be mistaken, or do not make the mistake of judging the power of God by the results—or lack thereof—we have experienced in our lives. Faith is meant to produce in the life of a believer! A seed planted in the ground is planted to do one thing…produce! Your faith and my faith has a job to do and that is to produce the power of God in our lives.
The fact is that faith needs to be restored in order for us to experience its power. Jesus scoffed at the Sadducees by telling them “…You’re mistaken because you don’t know the Scriptures or God’s power.”— (Matthew 22:29). Many are mistaken on the subject of faith because they don’t know the Scriptures or God’s power to take the simplest truths and promises in the Bible and make them a very real part of our lives, when we trust Him to do so.
Living by faith is learning what the Bible says about a thing, trusting that word as truth, believing and confessing (speaking) that it is yours now—not sometime in the future—and standing on that word until you experience it! Faith, the Bible says, “cometh by hearing” the word of God (Romans 10:17). That hearing is not only with your natural ears but also with your heart.
Restoring faith is not some snap of the finger exercise that you can get over night. To have faith restored in your life is an act of faith of itself. You have to trust the word of God that living and working faith is required. For not only do the righteous have to live by faith, but it is impossible to please God without it—(Hebrews 11:6).
The purpose of this blog is to raise the faith consciousness of believers everywhere, while exalting a risen Savior and a God who can do anything. There is more to come on this subject…so stay tuned for the second session of this series because I believe it will be life-changing.

We can not walk in the Spirit by our own empowering because the flesh can’t walk in Love and Love can’t walk in evil. the flesh must be put to death not ignored or deception and confusion in regard to the Scriptures and in our lives will be shown in words and actions. Lying is a fruit of the flesh and so is evil gossip and slander.
Colossians 3:4-6 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.
Romans 8: 5- 17 Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. or if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
Galations 24 -26 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

What you say is so true, that our faith is to produce the power of God in our lives, its the evidence of that ,is what everyone sees. The hardest part for us is the consistency of the power in our lives and the faith expressed. Are they the same ?? Nice to have a deep treatise on this subject Sabastian, thank you.

I truly believe that faith is a power within us that does produce many aspects of the power of God in our lives–both within our physical bodies, and within the area of influence that God has given us.
The scripture tells us that the gospel is “…the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;…” (Romans 1:16). The Greek form of the word ‘salvation’ is also interpreted as: deliverance, preservation, soundness, prosperity, happiness, rescue, and general well-being.
With this in mind, when we believe or have faith, it (faith) has the power to make MAJOR changes within and without our lives. Our responsibility is to trust what God has told us in His Word, (especially as revealed by the Spirit), and hold onto it until that which is promised is manifest in our lives. Now that also means meeting any conditions that is placed on us as well!
Therefore I believe they are not the same BUT do come from the same power!

True my bru!!When we think of submitting to the Lordship of Jesus, we must not think in terms of felaln earthly lords and kings…. He is entirely different. Submitting to or obeying God is submitting/subjecting ourselves to His Goodness over every area of our lives. Under His Lordship, there are no burdens…. and an easy yolk. How often it is so difficult to just rest beneath such undeserved favor!!…. This is the obedience required by our Good God: that we would let His Favor invade our entire lives and allow Him to entirely express His love to each of us!
